All Star Tutorial Hop – Heart & Home

The All Star Tutorial Design Team have been playing with the Heart & Home Suite as part of this month’s Tutorial Bundle. This blog hop is to share even more inspiration using this amazing suite of products. These projects are NOT the projects you will find in the Tutorial Bundle itself.

This month we are creating with the Heart & Home Suite. With two bundles forming this suite, I choose Blessings from Home to create today’s share.

I decided to heat emboss white this floral image onto Watercolour Paper before using our Water Painters to add my colour. Flirty Flamingo was the colour of my focal flower. The matting layer of Designer Series Paper was darkened around the edges with tone of tone ink and a blending brush. I often do this to cardstock but not so much patterned paper. I was quite pleased with the outcome.

Layering this matting layer up onto another pattern beneath, gave further interest to the base of this card.

I love how dropping water and ink onto the watercolour paper, slowly adds depth to the image.

A White Heat Embossed sentiment was added to So Saffron cardstock and edged with a trim of Doillie.

Some white ribbon, Linen thread and a scattering of Iridescent Rhinestones and my card was complete.
