This is Day Four of the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team’s 7 Days of Scrapbooking challenge. I share a day of Surfing in Cornwall with you today and hope you will enjoy. Throughout the 7 days, we are each sharing as many pages as we are able. You may well enjoy the challenge yourself, which I know I’ve been enjoying. You’ll see both current and retired products used throughout this week.
With so many Beach themed stamp sets, it was relatively easy to pull this page together. Surfers and VW Camper Vans is Cornwall on the west coast of England. A former Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Driving By, was therefore a must for this page.
Using the images from Oceanfront, helped me to quickly and easily stamp the sky, sand, boulders and grasses. With the basis of the scene coming together quickly, it was time to add the detail.
Inspired by Demonstrator Diana Gibbs my Camper Van was coloured with Alcohol Blends Pens. Diana gave inspiration for a surf board, which for me came from a retired Christmas stamp set called So Santa. I’d actually forgotten that I even had this set in my retired stash.
If there have to be clouds at all, they should be stitched and the Give it a Whirl Die set offer the best.
Changing up your photos
Wanting to give the page a further retro vibe, I decided to turn the photos into faux Polaroids, allowing for sentiments at the bottom. With Father and son being like two peas in a pod, they are indeed together for the long haul. He’s all That offers this fabulous circular sentiment that looks like the seal of approval.
The sentiments beneath each photo came from another retired stamp set called Zoo Globe. They were perfect for this trio.
A fun layout to share with you today capturing our Surfing day out in Cornwall, which I hope you have enjoyed.
