This is Day Three of the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team’s 7 Days of Scrapbooking challenge. A challenge that we hope you’ll enjoy. Throughout the 7 days, we are each sharing as many pages as we are able. You may well enjoy the challenge yourself, which I know I’ve been enjoying. You’ll see both current and retired products used throughout this week.
The moment I saw this stack of oversized cups in the crockery department of Fortnum & Mason I knew I had a scrapbook page before me.
A wonderful gift of Champagne Afternoon Tea at Fortnum & Mason, London, was a 60th Birthday gift for hubby. Decorated to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the store had a special Tea Service in honour of the Queen.
Our Afternoon Tea would take place in the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon on the top floor. The amazing floral centrepiece set the colour palette for my foliage. The Forever Fern Bundle offered the perfect selection of leaves for this.
Stamping some in Merry Merlot to the back I added Die cut leaves from Soft Succulent and Soft Sea Foam. Adding sponging of Evening Evergreen to the cardstock helped add variation.
In order to soften this solid block of foliage, I added some white die cut flowers from the Penned Flowers Die set. All of this gave the perfect backdrop for my stack of cups.
Keeping things simple, I die cut white on white for a stack of three cups. Carrying that detail over to the other side of the page, was easy with a die cut flower and leaf. The retired Blue Rhinestones with a touch of gold were the perfect embellishment for this page. Just the right amount of blue to tie in with the tea pot.
A Royal Blend
I’ve never really been a Tea lover but this special day had me discover the Royal Blend as my favourite. I now enjoy black tea made from tea leaves and really look forward to my morning cup of tea now.
It felt most special to be drinking a cup of tea from Tea Leaves and a Tea Pot in a truly British traditional way.
