Seas the Day the Stampin’ Up! way

Last week’s classes saw us playing with the fabulous Seas the Day Bundle. A super fun underwater themed set to create with, this bundle is in the current Mini Catalogue.

Our first card saw us use Stamp, Ink’s and Paper and a simple die cut banner for our sentiment. We stamped across the matting layer with fish and sponged the base of the focal panel with Coastal Cabana ink. The perfect backdrop for our plants.

The Die cut fish were stamped onto Shimmery White Cardstock before adding to our focal panel. The sentiment for this card also came from the Whale Done set.

Artisan Martin Stone, gave me the inspiration for this second card. I loved the sponged circles and the randomly placed vellum leaves and sea life.

You may notice that the Jelly Fish has been inked with a lighter colour with a darker one added to the top. This helps add interest and lessens the chance of it looking flat.

Our final card made use of this fabulous Die cut aperture. Simply stunning, we sponged our Pool Party backdrop with Coastal Cabana before stamping Plants, fish and more bubbles.

Raised on Dimensionals, this allowed depth for the Octopus to sit within the reeds. Watercolouring Shimmery white cardstock with Green and Blue ink and die cutting, allowed for additional plants to be added.

Throughout this trio, we made use of the new Stylish Shapes Dies for our sentiment panels. The sentiments were all stamped in Night of Navy to coordinate with the card base.
