With our hop now over on Instagram, you may have already seen the Team’s posts over there. If you’ve missed it, then be sure to follow the link at the bottom of this post.
Today the Team are sharing their inspiration with the soon to retire 2020-2022 In Colors. Five fabulous colours that are soon to leave the Stampin’ Up! collection, to be replaced with five new colours.
What are In Colors?
Each year Stampin’ Up! introduce five new In Colors that follow the trends or help fill a gap. Blending with the existing colours, these help compliment our offering for a two year period.
To showcase these out going colours, I took inspiration from a card received from my friend Ashley Brown van Camp. Using Misty Moonlight as my cardbase, I randomly stamped pineapples from the Timeless Tropical set in the same colour. A panel of watercolour paper enabled a wash of the same blue to be added.

Using the Tropical Dies, I die cut the Pineapple from Just Jade and Bumblebee cardstock. Ink, added by the use of sponge daubers to these elements, helped give shading. Curving the Pineapple with a Bone Folder and stacking dimensionals, helped add shape.

Magenta Madness is a punchy pink that I die cut the little flowers from. The Artistry Self Adhesive Sequins blended so well with this colour.

Alcohol Blends Pens are perfect for adding colour to Baker’s Twine. This was where the 5th colour was introduced in Cinnamon Cider.
Piecing two sentiments together is a great way of creating a sentiment of choice. This sentiment was achieved from using the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspiration today and I’ve reminded you just how fabulous these colours are.
