In the Moment with Watercolour Pencils

Having sat and coloured many images from the In the Moment Stamp Set, I have another set to share with you.

A different colour way and a different presentation layout, this time using the Scalloped Contour Dies. I don’t have a dog and I don’t enjoy reading but I do love to colour but I seldom allow myself the time to do so.

Easy to forget the joy of colouring and getting lost in the moment. Colouring is so good for your mental health and mindfulness.

Brightening things up, I turned to Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green for this trio of cards. Stamping these images each on a quarter sheet of cardstock, gave me options for die cutting later.

The Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder is a firm favourite of mine and helped add extra texture. To add depth, this layer was then elevated on Dimensionals.

These are quite large greeings and I wasn’t entirely sure if I liked them so large on Black but I gave it a go for the contrast.

Simple white crinkled ribbon and twine was used to embellish these cards that needed no more embellishment.

The Watercolour Pencils were used dry on Basic White cardstock with a touch of Wink of Stella to the Sea for shimmer. The Stampin’ Up! Chalk Marker offers a great way of adding white highlights to your images.

The vibrancy of this card set makes me smile and the simplicity of the layout too. Easy to replicate in any colour way and coordinate beautifully with our cardstock and ribbons.

Well, I think you could say I’ve well and truly put good use to this set this past week. It’s now time to move onto something else.
