Do you think of warm climates when you think of warm wishes? Perhaps this Welcoming window will have you thinking of somewhere in Greece.
Sadly the Welcoming Window is soon to retire and I wanted to get one last play with it before it went. Clearly yearning for a holiday overseas, my mind was thinking of properties in Greece. The rich royal blue shutters and white walls, teamed with bright and beautiful flower pots.
Using A Good Taste Designer Series paper as my wall, I die cut an opening where my welcoming window would sit. A layer of Vellum gave a smoky glass appearance. Pacific Point seemed the perfect blue for the shutters, which I’ve adhered on one side with a Dimensional. This gives the appearance of them swinging open.
Stamping the greenery of this plant onto green cardstock, gave for a more vibrant plant pot. You can just about see a die cut jug sitting on the windowsill through the window.
I pulled this sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set, which I thought was perfect for a New Home card.
A wonderful Bundle that I’ve not used anywhere near enough but is a real joy to create with. I can think of many other ideas that would involve a window and a scene behind or in front.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my share with you today and that you’ll enjoy your weekend.
