With Easter on the horizon, I wanted to come up with an Easter Card making use of the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set.
With my love of Heat Embossing, I decided to combine this technique with a few others. Inking up Versamark ink, I set to stamping the Daffodil image across some Daffodil Delight cardstock. This was then Heat Embossed with White Embossing Powder before being masked up. Once protected, I stamped further daffodil images and heat embossed these white also. Repeating this until I was happy I had sufficient stamped, I started to add ink.
Starting at the bottom and working upwards, I added Daffodil Delight Ink using a Blender Brush in a circular motion. I then pulled in some Mango Melody Ink, working upwards from the bottom, adding depth of colour. Once finished, you need to take a tissue to the embossed images and buff off any residue ink.
Some simple mat and layering onto black cardstock had this popping. With my thoughts to add a simple Gold Bumblebee embellishment, I decided to add a Gold Heat Embossed sentiment on a punched panel.
I liked he simplicity of this card, despite the number of techniques used, it looks quite unfussy. I hope you like it too.
