Today I share a project I’ve made with All Things Fabulous for the Global Design Project Colour Challenge. I’ve been meaning to take part in these weekly challenges for a while now and finally, I got to play.
The Challenge in place this week is that of a colour challenge.
With these colours in mind, I pulled out a favourite bundle of mine called All Things Fabulous. Placing all three sets of leaves randomly onto one block, I went about stamping all over a Soft Sea Foam matting layer tone on tone. A Blending Brush with the same colour ink, allowed me to darken the edges of this layer. The Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder helped give further texture and interest to this layer.
I then went about stamping tone on tone, Blushing Bride for the largest flower before Die cutting with the coordinating Dies. On White cardstock, I then stamped smaller So Saffron flowers and Soft Sea Foam leaves, which were again Die cut.
A cluster of flowers set to one side with a large white floppy bow beneath became the focal point. A slimline sentiment was stamped onto White cardstock and added before some Genial Gems were scattered to finish my card off.
I felt there was a vintage kind of feel to this card, which appealed. A colour challenge can be a great place to help start a project, so I challenge you to have a go. Share and add the hashtag #GDP337, it would be great to see what you come up with.
I am excited to announce that I was chosen as one of the winners for this particular theme. I had misunderstood the chosen winner, who’ll take part in the up coming colour Challenge, as the main and only winner, so received a nice surprise when checking on their website and saw my name there as a winner.
