Addicted to my Watercolour Pencils, I’ve been colouring some more images and this time I’ve combined two stamp sets. A Beautiful Moment and A Good Man are two great sets that work so harmoniously together.
This image reminds me of my childhood growing up on the beach and having summer holidays to sandy beaches. I often went away with a good friend who had very blonde straight hair against my curly hair. She was a little older than me and we had many a beautiful moment in the holidays together.
Stamped with Black Memento Ink on Basic White matting layers, the size of a card front, gave me flexibility of use. The Scalloped Contour Dies were the perfect option for this image and looked very girlie.
Keeping colours beach like, I mounted this onto Crumb Cake cardstock with a panel of Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper for interest.
My second card has me combine the two stamp sets for a family image and one I really enjoyed colouring. Using both Watercolour Pencil sets dry, I set to carefully colouring the Man and child first before moving onto the lady and girl to the left. It was important here to have a balance of colour, so that there wasn’t any one colour fighting for attention.
Its fun figuring out the direction of the light and adding highlights with a Stampin’ Chalk Marker pen. It’s a shame that this pen is about to be retired.
Picking out the blue denim here, I decided to add a panel of Night of Navy Designer Series Paper to my Crumb cake cardbase. Embellishing was kept to a minimum for both cards and sentiments very simple.
I wish I’d picked up my Watercolour Pencils sooner and allowed myself the time to colour. I have thoroughly enjoyed colouring these images and will miss these sets when they are gone.
