Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop, where we’ve a Rainbow Rearrange theme for this month’s hop.
If you’ve hopped over from Yvonne’s blog at The Creative Teacup then I’m sure her Rainbow Rearrange will have inspired you. I hope to inspire you further.
These Rainbow stripes somehow reminded me of some Retro stripes you’d see on 70’s Music album covers or perhaps on a chopper bike. I wanted to recreate this Retro vibe onto a masculine Birthday card using the Rainbow of Happiness.
Picking a Retro colour palette of Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody, I set to work. Starting with a Very Vanilla matting layer, helped add to this retro vibe. The self adhesive backed Foam sheets were perfect for lifting up the word Happy for the start of my sentiment.
Using the same colour palette for my second card, I pulled in images from Hello Beautiful. These fabulously abstract images worked so well with the arcs of the Rainbow and I sure rearranged them here.
Stamping, Die Cutting and generally assembling this next card in an abstract fashion, created the perfect masculine Thank you card.
The Matte Dot Embellishments were perfect for this project. They embellished without bling and blended so well.
I hope I have inspired you to look at these two stamp sets with different eyes and have you create something beautifully abstract. Do now head over to see what Sara has in store with her inspiration on this theme.
Thanks for hopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop.
