The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge this month had us creating with a Sketch Challenge.

There is nothing quite like a Sketch Challenge to help trigger your inspiration. I so love a layout for a starting point.
This fabulous layout was provided by the wonderful Jennifer Frost and from there, we could interpret the layout as we wished.

With a sketch challenge, aside from the layout, it’s often good to pick out an element. My card started from my choice of patterned paper. Highland Heather forms the background to this Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper banner. With leaves scattered all over, it seemed only right to added the Stitched Greenery Die for the matting layer to this card.

Next came my purpose for this card and one that would be suitable to Congratulate someone on a new job role. A skinny Good Luck sentiment from Nature’s Harvest had me inking up the flowers and colouring them with Stampin’ Blends.

Yellow and Heather appeared so fresh, so I pulled in a loop of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and a linen thread bow.

I like to give movement to my cards where I can, so hanging curly thread and a curled banner helps.
If you need a sketch challenge to inspire your creativity, why not consider joining in this month’s Sketch Challenge. You can add a hashtag #fancyfridaychallenge to share your designs with us both on Facebook and Instagram.
