OSAT – One Stamp at a Time – Slim Shady Cards

With One Stamp At a Time this month, we are bringing you Slim Cards for our Slim Shady month.

Welcome to this month’s hop and a month of us sharing our inspiration with everything slim.

Having coloured in a few of these fun robots from the new Nuts & Bolts stamp set with our Blends pens, I set to making this card. Slim DL cards like this are a favourite of mine, so I enjoyed creating this.

The characterful faces on these robots, lent themselves to this layout. The eyes gazing toward each other and the dreaminess of the robot holding his heart.

Colouring the Robots

The Stampin’ Up! Blends Pens are perfect for colouring these Robots. There’s a great instructional video by our lovely Artisan Kim Fee who demonstrates how to create a rusty appearance. Pairing up with the Bricks & Mortar Embossing folder, I made it look like they were all stood outside on a street. The fresh Pool Party base and white backing, made an otherwise grey and rusty looking card a lot fresher.

With one robot left, I layered him upon a Real Red Punched Heart and mounted him onto this slimline box. This size box would be suitable for the smaller gifts, like items of jewellery, rolled up love notes or similar.

A fun set that’s suitable for many an occasion, be it Valentines, a child’s Birthday or Father’s Day.
