You Can Create it this month with our Quarterly Papercraft kit using Stampin’ Up!’s Peaceful Place Papers.
This month’s kit we had to play with, comprised of papers from the Peaceful Place Suite. These beautiful papers have neutral tones of greys and white. Wanting to pull some extra colour in, I pulled in some colours from the incidental packet, seen below.
I created two cards, with my first having circular focal point. Our Blends Pens were used to colour the cabins and trees on the one sheet of paper I had selected. I then fussy cut across at the point of the fence and die cut the rest of the circle below this. Die cutting a white circle, I took a blending brush and added both Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight to create the sky. A few drops of water gave the effect of snow.
By adding the top coloured layer with Dimensionals helped give further depth to the distance beyond. Cutting the Smoky Slate piece of cardstock to size, I embossed with the Evergreen Embossing folder. The plaid sheet of paper was first cut to card front size before die cutting a stitched rectangle from the middle. This help to yield two cards with the centre used to the bottom of this first card.
With the remains of the plaid paper, I took a blending brush and Real Red Ink to change up the colour. This was set upon a Real Red Card base. Another plain white stitched rectangle was die cut to add within the aperture. Blending the sky with a brush using the same Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy, I again flicked water over.
Cutting the velvet paper with a curved top, I added some Balmy Blue ink using the Blending Brush again to create two banks of snow, where the remaining two fussy cut cabins would sit.
I pulled both sentiments from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set. Heat Embossing White on black, I fussy cut the sentiments to create further interest.
I’m really pleased with this set of cards and the colour that I added to an otherwise neutral palette and I hope you like what I’ve shared.
