Stamping Sunday – Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our Blog Hop today and to a month where we take on a Sketch Challenge. This is the sketch that we were given to work with and one I saw my images immediately.

Having just pre ordered from our new upcoming January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Flyer, I couldn’t resist but use this new Stamp Set. The Catching Butterflies Stamp Set immediately had me see this double circular image in this sketch. I love how we all interpret a Sketch Challenge differently. For me, the little girl represented the lower circle and the butterfly net and butterflies the top circle.

A wash of Pool Party Ink across the top half of my Watercolor Paper gave a fabulous backdrop to the butterflies. Stamping the little girl image over the top with Stazon Ink, allowed me to add further colour with a Water Painter. Stamping the same image onto another sheet of watercolor paper, I added colour and set to fussy cutting. This allowed me to elevate my images with Dimensionals.

A So Saffron banner strip with a white heat embossed sentiment grounds the base of this card and helps to complete this sketch challenge layout.

A cute little stamp set and one that makes for a wonderful little card, so easily. I hope you have enjoyed my share today and I hope you’ll head around to see what the others have to share.
