Let’s Get Hopping #49 Sketch Challenge

The Let’s Get Hopping Team are bringing you inspiration with a Sketch Challenge. 

Welcome to the Hop and an abundance of inspiration from the Let’s Get Hopping Design Team. This month we have a Sketch Challenge to help inspire our creativity. If you’ve hopped on over from my dear friend Tanya Rees, then I know she’ll have shared something quite beautiful. I hope to share something that will continue to inspire you further.

Sketch Challenge

This is the layout for our Sketch Challenge that we have been to interpret. A Layout is often a fabulous place to start and great for when you’re lacking in inspiration. What do you see?

I interpreted this layout as a formation of shapes and layers and saw an open window to the right. Window sheet was perfect to help create my 1″ opening.

Our January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue launches soon and I decided to play with a new Bundle to create this card. Adhered across the window opening was the beautiful Detailed Dahlias Die that I cut in the same Coastal Cabana as the card base.

A panel of punchy Flirty Flamingo randomly stamped with small flowers from the set gave for a pretty detailed layer. From here, I pulled in the floral sentiment panel from this set that I turned up on end and used as a backdrop to my focal flower. Using Stampin’ Write Markers to colour these smaller flowers, allowed me to use more than one colour to stamp.

A single stamped Dahlia flower in Mango Melody became my focal point, that I adhered with Foam Pad Dimensionals. This helps give height and dimension.

A White Heat Embossed sentiment on black was split and cut into two ways.  I completed my card with a scattering of adhesive backed sequins and a simple twine bow.
