These past few weeks have seen the last of my In Person Classes for 2021 and in all Mikaela fashion, the last class is always something a little special. This year, we made a Christmas Wreath using the Eden’s Garden Dies.
This dear little project looks much harder than it is, when in fact, it’s really quite simple. A project like this allows for plenty of socialising for the ladies, chatting about Christmas plans and preparations.
Some of the ladies purchased the Eden Dies as part of the upgraded class option, to die cut their own leaf layers. Everyone had the choice of an Embossing Folder to use as the backdrop for this Christmas wreath. Here I used the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Soft Sea Foam Poinsettia’s from the Poinsettia Die Set were perfect for this project. This colour worked so well with the Decorative Matt Dot Embellishments that I used within the middle of each flower.
I used up some neutral coloured ribbon that came from a now retired pack, Forever Greenery. It’s a wonderfully soft woven ribbon that hangs beautifully and blended really well with this colour scheme. An added bow of Gold Elegant Trim and I was ready to finish the floral cluster with my final Poinsettia.
Bringing in yet more Gold, I die cut the word Happy from the Christmas Cheer Dies. The extension for this sentiment was stamped with Soft Suede and added onto a banner of Very Vanilla. This helped tie in nicely with the ribbon. Pop this into a small box Frame and our project was complete.
Those ladies who preferred a little more colour, added the Real Red Decorative Matt Dots in tiny clusters around the wreath, which looked very pretty.
I so enjoyed designing this Christmas Wreath project for this series of classes and hope that all who made it, enjoyed it also. My In person classes are a big part of my business and I thoroughly enjoy hosting them. I look forward to starting up my classes again in the New Year and hope you’ll consider joining me again.
To all who have attended my classes this year … thank you and I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a fabulous New Year.
