With One Stamp At a Time this month, we are bringing you a Season of Cheer.
Welcome to this month’s hop and a Season of Cheer, as this is exactly where our inspiration has come from. For me this month, I’ve thought about Father Christmas himself, singing, treat giving and general rustic charm.
I could have paired this set with a brighter cardstock base but I wanted a muted, toned down rustic feel. The cardbase colour is Sahara Sand and the Gingham check from the Pansy Petals DSP, Soft Succulent.
To continue with the muted colours, I stamped Santa himself onto Sahara Sand Cardstock before colouring him in with our Watercolour pencils. Doing this helped to tone down the vibrancy of all the colours used, giving an almost vintage feel to him.
Embossing Vellum gives a beautiful subtle textured panel that works beautifully as a back drop. A simple flourish of white cardstock and a Heat Embossed sentiment and my card was complete.
The fail safe Sour Cream Container is a great little treat holder that I created using the same colours and patterns.
Adding a smaller embossed circle of vellum, allowed me to focus my attention on a area for this tiny Robin to sit. Thinking of morning bird song had me select this fun little sentiment.
A cute little pairing with some toned down colour that I hope you’ll like. Something a little different for this Season of Cheer.
I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the hop. All participants are listed below for you to navigate your way around, so enjoy!
