The Around the World on Wednesday Team are sharing inspiration of their most Favourite Month.
A warm welcome to all and a special welcome if you’ve hopped on over from my dear friend Aurélie Fabre in France. I really look forward to seeing which month is her favourite.
You’ve guessed it …
This month we are sharing inspiration from our most favourite month and for me … it has to be the festive season and December. December’s festivities and gatherings are most certainly my favourite, although there are many other months that I love also. It was the frosty white of our tree and the red of our Christmas Stockings had brought about the colours for my card.
It was this sentiment that screamed my thoughts of December. Whether I get to see friends and family throughout the festive season, I will be thinking of them. I hadn’t had a proper play with the Merriest Moments Bundle with the Hybrid Embossing Folder until now. Cutting and Embossing a layer of Basic White gave the most stunning of layers to act as a backdrop. The detail in this layer is just gorgeous. I wanted a wood panel for my sentiment, so cut the internal layer form In Good Taste DSP.
Early Espresso Ink was used to stamp the sentiment to help warm up an otherwise cool card. This Panel was then elevated on Dimensionals. This allowed me to tuck some of the floral pieces beneath to add interest to my foliage cluster.
I have stamped the two layers of the Poinsettia in Real Red, adding a Bumblebee centre to the smaller one. Die cutting these images, helped with precision and allowed me to layer up the images of the flower. The two different types of leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green. Adding some of the Matte Adhesive Dots in both Bumblebee and Cherry Cobbler gave added texture and interest.
I hope you like my share using this beautiful bundle and to depict my most favourite month.
Hop around the world
Don’t forget to hop around the world now to see what my fellow designers are creating for their favourite month.
Next up is the lovely Tina Zinck from Canada, but will she favour a warmer or colder month? … or be the same as me?
Thank you for hopping by today …. Enjoy the rest of the hop and all of the inspiration.
