The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge this month had us creating for a Colour Challenge.
Yes, this month we are basing our inspiration from a colour challenge of Coastal Cabana, Old Olive and Real Red.
Inking up the Bright Bauble Stamp Set for the first time I coloured using a water painter. Adding more Real Red Ink to the outer edges of the bauble, helped to give a 3D look to this. Leaving some lighter points to the front middle, gave the impression of light hitting the bauble.
Using Coastal Cabana ink and a Water painted, I set to adding a wash of colour to a Matting layer of Watercolor Paper. Subtle splatters were achieved using our Stampin’ Write Markers. By heat embossing the bauble white, allowed the detail of this bauble to stand out.
Needing a place to hang, I set to die cutting the Christmas Pinecones Dies using Old Olive. This gives the impression of a Christmas Tree. Cut and adhered in such a way, it made it look like the we’d captured a glimpse of our tree and this single bauble. Contrast as achieved with a short heat embossed sentiment on black.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating with what I felt looked like a Retro Colour scheme. A few simple embellishments and my card was complete.
I hope you have enjoyed my share with you today for the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Colour Challenge.
