Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop, Tis the Season.
Welcome to this month’s blog hop, where this month, ’tis the season to share the season we are in. I hope you’ve enjoyed the season that Sara Levin has shared her fabulous season with you over on her blog.
I am sharing my thoughts of Autumn, from falling leaves to Toffee Apples and the blessing of Harvest festival. Today is Harvest Festival in the UK. It’s an important part of the Christian calendar, with giving to others in need. Churches are decorated with baskets of fruit and other food that parishioners have donated.
Living in a village surrounded by arable land we’ve seen the Combine Harvesters out a lot recently. To pull these papers depicting wheat seemed most appropriate. A wonderful neutral backdrop for the colourful auburn leaves falling and crisp toffee apples.
The Toffee Apples and cake stand come from the Sweets & Treats stamp set. Stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Blends Pens, I went on to fussy cut and layer them.
After applying Ink to a sheet of watercolor paper with a Water Painter, I die cut leaves from the Beautiful Leaves Dies. Allowing these to scatter across the card lifted the otherwise neutral feel.
From a sheet of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that coordinated with the card, I made a little treat holder. Starting my embellishment with the ribbon, I added a circular seal with a single Toffee Apple and finished to match the card.
I really enjoyed the colours I pulled together for this little set and hope that you like them too.
Do head over to see what Denita has to offer in her season.
Thanks for hopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop.
