Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop where we Celebrate all things worth celebrating.
Welcome to our Blog Hop today and to a celebration of inspiration. I felt that many celebrations come with the appearance of Balloons, so this was where I based my thoughts. There is a fabulous balloon in the Penguin Place Stamp Set that I used along with other Die Cutting accessories from the Give it a Whirl set.
I decided to stamp in a rainbow colour palette for this series of cards. My first card is simply Stamp, Inks and Paper and uses the masking technique.
By placing a post it note mask over my Pumpkin Pie Balloon, I would then stamp my Real Red balloon. The result is that the Red Balloon would look set back behind the orange one. Continuing this along the line gave for a more effective looking cluster.
Step it up
Using the same colours I had no need to mask, as I layered up both stamped and fussy cut balloons. From the same Penguin Place Stamp Set I stamped a scattering of Smoky Slate stars around the balloons.
By adding Baker’s Twine, helped bring these balloons to life a little more. This card was to the coolest friend for her Birthday.
Step It Up Again
The sky has just become busier with lose balloons, as I die cut an aperture. The Dies used for the scalloped circle, clouds and stars came from the Give it a Whirl set. In comparison to the first two cards, this one is much busier with the rainbow of balloons.
Dimensionals were used to help add depth and height to this final celebratory card.
Three colourful cards, using just a few stamps from the Penguin Palace Stamp set and a rainbow of colours.
I hope you have enjoyed my sharing today and that you’ll hop around the rest of the team to see what they are celebrating with.
Enjoy and Happy Stamping
