Stampin’ Creative – Friendships

Today, the Stampin’ Creative Team are sharing Friendships with you.

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where we are reaching out to our friends. For me, the whole experience of Stampin’ Up! encompasses Friendships. This group, my customers and of course my Team. I forged no end of friendships along the way and in my 9 happy years, they stretch far and wide.

I am never far away from another happy crafter who understands my love of papercrafts. For it’s only another crafter who’ll understand the excitement of a new paper pack, some sparkly embellishments, a new stamp set or the moment you first learn to Heat Emboss.

With this in mind, I wanted to make a card to welcome a returning friend to Stampin’ Up! and to my Team. She inspires me in so many ways and for that, I’m forever grateful.

How I created this card

A cheery card for a friend needed to be bright and happy, so a card base of Mango Melody seemed appropriate. Using Versamark ink, I was able to stamp over the cardbase, a background of leaves. I then stamped the outline image of the largest Dahlia to a piece of Watercolour Paper. The Delicate Dahlia’s Stamp Set can be earned for FREE with a qualifying order of £90 here in the UK.

Once heat embossed white, I prepped the paper with water from a Water Painter and slowly added some Daffodil Delight ink. Working from the inside out, I added more and introduced Cajun Craze until I had reached my desired look. Taking the lightest Cinnamon Cider Blend, I flicked some ink across this panel that I mounted over a scalloped edge of Kraft Cardstock. This pretty scalloped edge die comes from our Penned Flowers Dies.

This sentiment seemed perfectly fitting and comes from the stamp set, ‘Create with Friends’. This is indeed what I love most about Stampin’ Up! is creating with friends. Sharing a love of papercrafts that’s so mentally relaxing and allows for that much needed ME time. Heat Embossing wowed me in the early days and still is my favourite today, that had to be included.
