Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop where we’re all stitched up for some stitched inspiration.
I hope this post finds you well and that you’ll enjoy this hop of stitched inspiration.
Today’s hop is right up my street with everything stitched. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I love pretty much anything that’s stitched so it’s been fun creating for this hop.
A new firm favourite of mine is the Stitched Greenery Die that creates a beautiful stitched background for many a project. Used here on the Very Vanilla cardstock that I added as a matting layer over Copper Foil onto Basic Black cardstock.
This tall slender leaf reminded me of the trees we would see in Tuscany, a favourite holiday destination for us. Rather than use it as a leaf, I wanted it to represent these amazing tuscan trees. The backdrop needed to have that rich Tuscan sky appearance, which I created using the new Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set. Part inking up with Bumblebee and part Granny Apple Green, I spritzed it with water before stamping onto Watercolor paper. I used the same inking method for the tree, that was inked with Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot before spritzing.
A linen thread bow and a white on black heat embossed sentiment and my card was complete.
To complete the gift comes the Gift Box and this I created in the same colours but this time used the leaves with a sentiment. A raised layer of Stitched Greenery gave a layer to tie a linen thread bow around and to take the focal point. Three leaves with one Die cut from Copper Foil, raised on Dimensionals, was the perfect focal point for this sentiment.
Such an elegant set of products to use and I hope you like what I’ve created with them.
Be sure to see what the rest of the team are sharing today. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the inspiration.
Enjoy and Happy Stamping
