Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where we’re bringing our summer dreams to life. For me, it had to be Sharing Sunshine and the sight of the sun from behind the clouds.
At first I looked at this set as a ‘one trick pony’ a set I’d soon become tired of, yet it continues to make me smile. With sunshine appearing with so many other aspects of our life, it teams so well with so many other sets.
In the UK here, we’ve had a strange summer so far with the sun having not paid an appearance too much. I therefore simply wanted to share a card, showing the sunshine coming from behind the clouds.
A Stitched Rectangle is a real staple for your craft room, which is what I used here as my central panel. The white rectangle was then die cut twice with the Basic Borders Dies to form a series of clouds. By repeating this with Vellum, allowed for those whispy clouds that the sun is breaking through. A deep bold Pacific Point sky gives a great backdrop for the vibrant Daffodil Delight of the sun.
Our Layering Circles Dies gave a beautiful scalloped edge to the sun and my sentiment teamed beautifully. This sentiment came from our Welcoming Window set, which seemed so apt and would again work so well with this set.
Let’s hope that the sun does indeed beam through our welcoming window soon but either way … this set will keep me smiling.
