The Let’s Get Hopping Team are bringing you inspiration from our Favourite Occasion.
Welcome to the Hop and an abundance of inspiration, which I’m sure you’ll enjoy. If you know me well, you’ll know that I absolutely love Christmas. Christmas brings on dedicated family time and the most memorable meal together … quite literally Sweets and Treats. Here in the UK, Christmas Dinner is often completed with Christmas Pudding, which appears in this soon to launch new stamp set.
I wonder what occasion Elizabeth chose to create about. She’s in the hop before me but you may have already seen that if you’ve hopped on over from there. I look forward to seeing for myself.
Christmas Eve starts with us filling the house with the sound of Carols, so the new Merry Melody Embossing Folder was appropriate for this card. A die cut focal panel of Watercolor Paper, from the Seasonal Labels Dies, gave a great backdrop for our hero. A gentle wash of Pool Party ink illuminated the Pudding even more so.
The new large lazer cut snowflakes give fabulous detail to festive projects. The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper offers a wonderful mix of wooden textures, which I used to stamp the cake stand onto.
The Christmas Pudding itself, I coloured in using our Stampin’ Blends before fussy cutting and curving a little. Adding stacked Dimensionals helped to raise the middle further. Stamping just the top of the Pudding, allowed for some Holly decoration to the inside of this card.
Somehow Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some Red, so a swish of Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon was added.
Know me well and you’ll know I love a spot of Heat Embossing … it’s where my love of Papercrafting came from and it still wows me today. I therefore added a white on black heat embossed sentiment that was pieced to my taste.
I hope you like what I’ve shared here with you today and you find it quite simply a sweet treat. Available to purchase from 3rd August or now if you add it to your Starter Kit and join Stampin’ Up!
Let’s Hop over to see what Rachael Merrick’s favourite occasion is.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by.
