I recently created this DL Card using the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set and Artistically Inked. I had lots of stamped images left over on my desk that seemed wasteful not to use up.
What is a DL Card?
Simply cut an 8″ Square of cardstock and score it in the middle at 4″. This long shallow card brings height and elegance and is often used for Invitations.
The large central Sentiment panel of Basic Black created a bold contrast to the Fresh Freesia base. Heat Embossing White onto the Black created a real punchy centrepiece for me to work around. This Die cut shape comes from a Bundle in the soon to launch, August to December Mini Catalogue. The Christmas Season bundle was also where I pulled some of the leaves from, to help give variation on those from Artistically Inked.
Stamped in Fresh Freesia to start with, the largest flower then had a touch of Highland Heather added with a Dauber. This helps to give depth and variation to the watercoloured image. Adding flowers of Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody and balancing out with leaves of Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce, gave for a cheerful display.
What will you create from your left overs the next time you’re at your craft desk?
