The Around the World on Wednesday Team have to CASE a Team Member today.
A warm welcome to all and if you’ve hopped on over from my dear and most talented friend, Emma Goddard, welcome.
To CASE Annette Ball
We each have to CASE the person who we hop on to, so for me, that’s the lovely Annette Ball. Searching Annette’s blog, I came across this beautiful card. I loved how the flowers overhung the right side of the card with the sentiment panel mid way up.
Heat embossing my flowers with Gold Embossing Powder, made this card feel extra special. The flowers came from Art in Bloom, that I both Die cut and Embossed using the new Hybrid Embossing folder, before watercolouring.
By taking a good inch off from the right of my card front, I was able to overhang the flowers, without widening the card. I sponged the inside back panel with Balmy Blue to give a calming backdrop. A darker, sponged blue panel was added to the left to give a moody appearance to this side of the card. Sponging before flicking water at it, gave this moody speckled look.
Arranging the flowers along the opening side of the card, I ensured that some were adhered with Dimensions to give height and others stuck flat. I love this ticket style sentiment panel that I’ve again heat embossed Gold.
The gentle sponging on the inside back panel, gave interest to the inside of this card.
I hope you like my take on Annette’s card and I hope that Annette herself likes my CASE. Let’s now see what she has to share of her CASE of a Team Member this month.
Thank you for hopping by today …. Enjoy the rest of the hop and all of the inspiration.

Gorgeous Case Mikaela! Love that moody, splattered panel. Great contrast to those beautiful flowers. xx
What a gorgeous card! Love it!
Beautiful! Love the way you shaded, blended , and embellished down the side of the card.
Fabulous Case, Mikaela. The contrast of those beautifully coloured golden flowers against the dark blue of the base is wonderful.
Very nice job of coloring Mikaela! I love all the work done on this creation. Well done !
Beautiful Case! I love this layout. I will be working on a case of both your cards.
