Last week’s Facebook Live saw me cooking up a storm with a new set, Measure of Love.
A wonderful stamp set that would work well for anyone who loves to bake or spend time in the kitchen. My Mum loves to bake, so this will be perfect for a Mother’s Day card when the time comes.
This Facebook Live brought about simple layouts and simple elements. A flash of Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper, a simple embossed background panel and a focal point.
Decorating the inside of a card can help tie both layers together and take the detail through to the next layer.
Scaling things up
Fussy cutting and colouring the scales, allowed me to raise them on Dimensionals. The cute shelf came from the Welcoming Window Bundle.
Tempting as it was to load the scales with cupcakes, I decided to have the sentiment to the front and a cupcake inside.
Double chocolate … yum! This sure looked tasty.
Often we miss elements within a stamp set and this floral image comes from the same stamp set but could so easily be overlooked.
The Ornate Floral Embossing Folder was used to add detail and texture to the card base. Simple shapes layered and fine detail added and my card set was complete.
I hope you grow to love this set and have found my share of inspiration. If you didn’t see these cards being made Live, you can return to watch by clicking HERE.
