Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop where this month we’re having a Floral Frenzy Mash Up.
Welcome to this month’s blog hop, where we are showcasing stamp sets that would create a Floral Frenzy. We’ve a fabulous line up for this hop, so I hope you’ll hop around the inspiration on offer. You may have already hopped on over from the fabulous Jeanna, who I know will have shared something wonderful for this theme.
I decided to ink up a new set from the Annual Catalogue called Artistically Inked which has a beautifully artful look.
This first card is a relatively simple card, with a fully stamped background to give a watercolour marbled look. Stamping tone on tone gave a subtle background allowing the sentiment and flower the chance to sing. The darkness of the Evening Evergreen allowed the Polished Pink and Gold details to stand out. Cutting the top edge of the sentiment panel straight, I chose to fussy cut around the flower beneath. This added additional detail without fuss.
Floral Die Cutting
Simple Die Cutting can help take a project to a whole new level. The Basic Borders Dies allowed me to die cut this fabulous angled edge that I overlay with a single flower. The same tone on tone stamped background helped anchor this card. Switching the Gold Foil to the Gold Simply Elegant Trim and a Gold Embossed sentiment gave a fresh vibe to this card.
Gilded Leafing Detail
Adding Gold Foil Die cut flowers, a Gold Heat Embossed sentiment and more really did mash this floral frenzy up further.
Adding random lines of glue and allowing it to go tacky before adding Gilded Leafing, helped to create this fabulous background. I added more of the Bumblebee colour to this card, which I think works so well with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.
I really enjoyed creating this floral frenzy of cards and hope that you like my inspiration today.
Next up in the hop is the talented Sara Levin who I feel sure will have something beautiful to share. Be sure to head over and take a look.
