All Star Tutorial Hop – Sand and Sea Suite

The All Star Tutorial Design Team have been playing with the Sand and Sea Suite to bring you this month’s Tutorial Bundle.

Welcome to this month’s blog hop, where we are sharing our inspiration using the Sand and Sea Suite.

Oh this suite just keeps giving with shells of all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes. Collect them up and you can make all varieties of projects with them.

Picture this …. the sand … the sea … some shells and the sea foam tickling through your toes … yes, it’s a picture I wanted to capture. This card started with a frame made from our Stitched Rectangle Dies to allow a picture to be captured within.

I thoroughly enjoyed using the colours that I used for this card in Pacific Point and Shaded Spruce. I added touches to the largest shell for that shell like glisten. It was easy to add texture by using a variety of cardstock. Crumb Cake Cardstock was used for the largest shell, Shimmery White for the Sand dollar and Pearlescent Paper the final shell. Each one suitable for the shell it represented and each one giving a different feel and sheen.

Ripping the Designer Series Paper from this suite made for a great waters edge feel. Our Watercolor Paper was perfect for combining the blue and green of the greenery at the bottom.

A fun card to create and one that had me use up quite a few scraps, which was a bonus.
