Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins

It’s Saturday and the Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins are in full swing to party.

Last weekend I hosted another Online Catalogue Launch Party with my dear friend Tanya Rees from Australia. Tanya is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who served on the Artisan Design Team in 2019 when I did. We had a fabulous time last weekend, showcasing products from the new Annual Catalogue.

I grew an instant fondness to the new stamp set, Party Puffins and just had to have them. I wanted to show how you could still make a simple Birthday card long after the Puffins had gone to bed. This first card was just to show how quickly you could create something using just the cake and a sentiment.

I love the Stitched Whimsy Dies that give this cute stitched detailed shape.

Throwing everything at this second card, I wanted something vibrant and colourful to reflect the playful nature of this set. Layering up the Stitched So Sweetly dies I added a stamped sentiment panel beneath.

The Puffin, Cake and Hat were all stamped, coloured with Blends and fussy cut with our fabulous paper snips. I thought he looked like a little waiter delivering the Birthday cake.

To the front of this card we tell the recipient to ‘Make a Wish’ and inside …

‘Happy Birthday’ I loved how the little Puffin was looking up, so felt the need to add the wrapped fish as a teaser.

With all good Birthday’s comes a Birthday Gift, so a Tag seemed only right and fitting. We’ve some fabulous new Stitched Tag Dies that I added stripes of Coastal Cabana and a plain sentiment panel to the bottom.

The Balloon comes from the otherwise discarded belly of one of the Puffins. It makes for the perfect sized Balloon. The twine comes from the Playful Pets combo pack of ribbon and twine and works so well.

I absolutely loved creating these cards and tag and hope I’ve inspired you to join the Party Puffins.
