You Can Create it with Stampin’ Up!’s Sand and Sea Suite

You Can Create it this month with this Papercraft kit using the Sand and Sea Suite.

 

Welcome to this months inspiration from the You Can Create It Team using our third and final packet this quarter. This packet features sample products from the Sand and Sea Suite that we can team up with incidental products from our additions pack.

How I used March’s Packet

I created these two cards using the stamp set Friends are like Seashells.

Using a matting layer of Seaside Spray I added Ink of the same colour ink using the Blending Brush. Tonally using the same colours I then used the main Die from this bundle to add some subtle foliage as a backdrop.

Creating a collage of layers, colours and textures, I again die cut and Embossed the various shells that I snipped out to use singularly. The Embossing folder from the Sand and Sea Suite has been specially designed to be used alone or combined with the coordinating Die. It’s incredible! Adding hints of colours to the raised areas of these shells gave warmth and definition. The Tasteful Labels Dies were used to create the two layers of labels, one from white cardstock and the other the DSP.

A simple twine bow and some Opal Rounds completed this simple card and a single line sentiment helped not cause distraction.

Emboss Resist Technique

My second card, I stamped repeatedly all over the matting layer with Versamark ink before heat embossing white. Blending the same colour ink over the outer edges of the card and over the stamped starfish, added depth that I splattered with water.

A simple focal point of a Stamped Sand Dollar on the remaining Pearlescent Specialty Paper and a further starfish from the DSP that looks like Sand. A linen thread bow and a scattering of Opal Rounds to coordinate with the first card and my two cards were complete.
