A few weeks ago I celebrated my 9th year with Stampin’ Up! A fabulous milestone that needing celebrating, so I hosted a special Facebook Live using the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp set.
I started with a craft along with folk recreating a very simple card with stamped background and a focal panel for a sentiment. The Balloons were stamped from an image within the set of a chicken holding a balloon but I only inked up the balloon. This helps make the set even more versatile than it is already.
Stepping things up a little, I then converted this card into a swing card, which is a fold I love. We giggled as I added in yet more fun chicken images from the coordinating Hey Chick stamp set. Mad wild hair-do’s that we all liken to our lockdown locks.
The night had drawn in and we were now heading to the dance floor to celebrate some more. I created a dark moody background panel using our Blending Brushes and my favourite Pretty Peacock colour. A girl has to be true to herself when creating and I just love that colour. In fact, I’m really going to miss it when it’s gone. Pool party being another favourite thankfully coordinates beautifully and made for a great base for this card.
Masking Technique
Taking a Post it note I stamped a couple of chickens that I had die cut and set over a few stamped chickens to stamp yet more. This helps to protect the first stamped image before stamping the next partially overlapping. I did the same for the balloons that I again wanted a real cluster of. This was me and everyone I’d met through being with Stampin’ Up! celebrating together, so there needed to be a lot.
I took a Blender Pen in Pretty Peacock to colour in between the chickens and take away the white edges of the single one. I couldn’t resist the Party Animal sign that the crazy haired chick stood by in the corner.
Such a fun set of cards to create, all of which have been sent out to three randomly selected viewers. A great way to mark my anniversary and with lots of fun and laughter.
I’m so pleased that the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set and Dies carry over but I’ll be sorry to say goodbye to the original Hey Chick Bundle. If you’re wanting to get your hands on this Bundle before it goes, then be sure to place your order sooner rather than later. Availability from 1st May will be while stocks last.
Thank you to ALL who have supported me these past 9 years. I have had a ball and I’m eternally grateful for the continued support that you’ve shown through these difficult times. Here’s to yet more years ahead and more crafty shares with you all.

Sorry Sharon, your message went to Spam for some reason ….. If you follow this link, I show you how I created this very card during a Facebook Live. Speed forwards to about 38 mins in, as I do a peeled back version of this card beforehand. I hope this helps x. https://www.facebook.com/220109191448335/videos/203102971148704
