Today I’m sharing a card I created after last Thursdays Facebook Live, where I used the True Love Papers. These papers are a firm favourite of mine at the moment with endless possibilities once coloured.
I chose to use our Alcohol Blends Pens but you could use other mediums, like watercolour pencils, markers and sponging. All will offer a slightly different feel.
Having recreated two cards that I’d recently shared here on my blog, I went on to create this card that was somewhat peeled back. One simple cluster of flowers, that were simply coloured and fussy cut from the True Love Designer Series Paper. I added this cluster over a loop of ribbon and simply added a sentiment.
A frame often helps direct your eye to the focal point further and I chose to use the Stitched with Whimsy Dies for some added detail.
A gentle wash of colour behind helps to marry up the foreground with the base card. Here I used Soft Sea Foam for a soft delicate feel.
I created this card for someone who has recently been through a lot and who indeed has been on my mind. I love this sentiment from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set. Heat Embossed white, this offers a very skinny, simple sentiment.
I hope you like my share with you today and that you’ll consider these True Love papers. You’ll find them part of the Love You Always Suite at the front of the mini catalogue.
Have a great day.
