It’s an Ombre Challenge this month with the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team and I’ve been quite Playful.
This month the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team are sharing their Ombré Inspiration. With so many styles of Ombré, the world really is your oyster.
I decided to keep things simple and use strips of cardstock to create my Ombré effect. A playful card ideal for a Teen, teamed with a playful sentiment.
Cutting ever decreasing strips of cardstock in three different shades of one colour is the trick. Another trick is to have narrow strips of white showing where the colours strips are at their widest and wider strips where the colour is at it’s narrowest.
The sentiment was created by using Black cardstock on Self Adhesive Foam Sheets and die cut using the Playful Alphabet. A short simple start to the over all sentiment, allowed me to use both the positive and the negative. Create two cards from the one and add on a finishing sentiment as I did from the Hot Dog stamp set.
A simple scattering of self adhesive sequins and my cards were complete. One in shades of Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron and the other Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party.
I loved creating these and hope that you like their playful simplicity. Ideal for using up scraps of cardstock that you might have in your scraps drawers.
Will you get creating something Ombré now and sharing it with the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team?
