Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop where this month we are going Outback Outwest.
The Creation Station Design Team are bringing you inspiration from Outback Outwest this month. I can’t wait to see what the others have created and if you’ve hopped over from Jeanna Kay then you’ll have already seen.
I decided to create with the fabulous Flowering Cactus Product Medley for todays share. Having recently created with this Product Medley I wanted to try a blue night sky rather than another sunset. Taking an acetate mask and our Blending Brushes, I added Ink in circular motions. Starting with Coastal Cabana as the base, I added darker shades of blue that I sponged inwards. Leaving a centre lighter, helped draw your eye into the distance. A White Chalk Marker was perfect to add little twinkly stars.
The Stitched Whimsy dies helped to add a wonderful stitched frame to the base of this card that I added the Die cut Cactus to. Stamped in Pear Pizazz, I added Mossy Meadow with a dauber to add variation of colour. I loved how the popping colours chosen for the flowers really sang with the blue of the sky.
Inking and stamping the Cactus with the same colours, I created a not dissimilar panel for this Frame. The tallest of Cacti was cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock and a very simple sentiment added.
A sweet gift set for a friend that’s clean and cheerful with some popping colours.
I hope you have liked my spin on this theme I look forward to seeing how Denita has interpreted this theme.
Thanks for hopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop.
