All Star Tutorial Hop – Hydrangea Hill Suite

The All Star Tutorial Design Team this month are showcasing the Hydrangea Hill Suite.

Welcome to this month’s blog hop, where this month we are sharing our inspiration using these incredible Hydrangea’s. With them being so incredible in their size, the Hydrangea is perfect for a focal point.

Here I have made a twisting card that offers the Hydrangea stamped and die cut for the focal point, before opening the twisted card.

Using Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Misty Moonlight, I have randomly stamped a piece of cardstock that I then die cut. There is one very small flower within the stamp set that was perfect for this repeated stamping and this die, perfect for texture. Layering up over a simply stamped base, allowed the flower head to stand proud of the leaves.

The main body of the card was created from Purple Posy a nice soft colour that coordinated beautifully. This can also be seen in the scalloped square that you see here.

Undoing the Gorgeous Grape Bow allows you to open the card in it’s entirety. Lifting the central focal panel reveal the start of the sentiment.

Lift open the card fully and it sits proudly landscape. Quite a special layout that’s perfect for that special occasion.
