Stampin’ Creative – Glitter and Glamour

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where we’re stepping up the glamour.

This hop had me thinking about the lovely lady who I’ve been in contact with these past few months. Jo Gaffney, a House of Colour Consultant based in Worcester screams glitter and glamour. Helping others understand their style, colour and shape  of clothing was what started the focus for today’s card.

An elegant DL Shaped card in Peta Pink seemed the right colour to start with. A Layer of Shimmery white cardstock and a panel of Black and white True Love paper, gave a great contrast. Thinking glitter and glamour had me thinking of flowers and perfume from Dressed to Impress.

Alcohol Blends Pens deliver the most incredible depth of colour to the flowers from the True Love Papers, which were then fussy cut. Stamping the perfume bottle with Black Memento Ink and adding a wash of Petal Pink made it look filled. By stamping the perfume bottle again and fussy cutting the label, gives a clean label to add.

Gilding to the bottle

Using the nib of a Blender Pen and some Versamark I was able to add some ink to the areas of the bottle that I wanted to gild. A dusting of Heat & Stick and some Gilding Leaf and my bottle came to life. All the more glitz and glamour added.

Using a green Ink, I stamped a wash of colour along with some leaf sprigs to the background. The Brushing Bride Metallic Ribbon help add to that glitter and glamour as a mock bow.

Adhering the various elements at different heights, helps add interest and dimension. A scattering of Champagne rhinestones blended perfectly with Blushing bride and Petal Pink.
