Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop where this month we’ve been designing with Cute Critters. Arrived here from Antoinette’s blog then you’ll have seen the cute critters she chose to work with.
So many Critters to choose from, it was hard to decide. Well hopefully I’ve Snailed it … forgive me, I couldn’t resist that. Yes, the Snailed it stamp set was my choice for this blog hop and a Tri Fold Birthday card.
I love this little fellow. I’ve coloured him in soft tones and bright but here I chose deeper, perhaps more masculine colours.
Tri Fold Card
I wanted something a little different so pulled in the dies from my So Much Happy Bundle to die cut the word happy. My only regret is that I stamped the word Birthday before positioning the snail. It would have perhaps looked better if it were sat right behind him on the ground, as if his trail.
I coloured the snail with our Alcohol Blends Pens and adhered him to the front Panel using Dimensionals. Adhering each panel to a back panel, allowed me to change up the colours.
Flip open the front panel to reveal the central panel and one where some of the balloons from the front are adhered. Created to look a little like a night sky the Snail is heading off to the party, head down at full speed. He only wants to be fashionably late.
You can create the twinkling stars that you see here by the flicking action of a Wink of Stella.
Open the card fully to reveal the central part where you can write your message and yet more balloons.
This cute critter looks so happy to have arrived but its now time to hand over that gift parcel from his back.
Gift Packaging
Two coordinating gift boxes made from cardstock and Designer Series Paper, I tied together with Mossy Meadow Breaded Linen. The tag was created to pull the entire colour scheme and theme together. The parcel is ready for opening and the party ready to begin … but which critters are going to be joining him?
Take a look at my dear friend Kathy Kartak’s blog, who’s next up to see which little critters he’ll be partying the night away with.
Thanks for hopping by today, enjoy the rest of the hop. I bet you never knew these parties existed in your back yard at night did you?

I REALLY LOVE THE COLOR COMBINATION IN THESE FUN PROJECTS. I’VE SEEN YOU CREATE THE BRUSH TECHNIQUE ON THE CARD ON ONE OF YOUR LIVES AND IT’S TERRIFIC. I REALLY LOVE THE STACKED BOXES TOO.
awww Thank you Antoinette, I’m so pleased you like and that you’ve followed me on my lives before xx
Oh, my, goodness–the story!!! such a wonderful way to create a story with a card and gift boxes. I squealed out loud, “the gift boxes off his back!” as soon as I scrolled down the page and saw them. Delightful, wonderful projects!
