Today, the Stampin’ Creative Team are sharing their New Beginnings. I could have chosen from our New Mini Catalogue but chose to marry up a freebie with a much loved.
When my nephew announced his Engagement to his girlfriend, I knew that their card would be perfect for this hop. A New Beginning for a young couple in love.
They moved into their new home a few months ago, right in the middle of this pandemic and threw themselves into decorating their entire new home themselves. With a decor based on shades of grey, I knew I had to include grey in their card.
I took a sheet of the Oh So Ombre paper that’s a FREE offering within the Sale-a-Bration flyer. Spend £45 and you can choose these gorgeous free papers. I wanted to use the ombre from the side rather than the top or bottom for a change and I selected Rococo Rose.
Using Black Memento Ink and a floral image from the set Bloom and Grow, I stamped a series of flowers across the paper. Using the Subtle Embossing Folder, helped give this card front some interest and texture. Tempting as it was to want to colour in the black and white flower image, I decided to leave it alone. I liked the simplicity and the singular area of colour.
This sentiment has to be one of my favourites for a Wedding or Engagement. Stamped on Basic Grey cardstock, I heat embossed it white.
A simple but elegant card that’s unfussy and perfectly fitting to the couple it was sent to. I look forward to us being able to celebrate their engagement when time and restrictions allow. We couldn’t be happier for them and their new beginning.
