Stampin’ Creative – New Year Celebration

Today, the Stampin’ Creative Team are here for a New Year Celebration. Today is New Year’s Eve and I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t like to see the back of 2020. We have a creative celebration going on here at the Stampin’ Creative, to welcome in 2021.

A very warm welcome to today’s hop where we’re having a little Celebration. Be that it’s New Year’s Eve, I felt it only right and fitting to create a card for the New Year.

My card started with the Navy Designer Series Paper with Copper Stars on that comes from the Gleaming Brightly pack. Gleaming Brightly is a festive pack that is sadly retiring but with scraps leftover, I couldn’t resist but use these fabulous copper stars.

The temptation was to go dark with copper stars but I wanted something bright and uplifting for this New Year. Bold diagonal stripes of Magenta Madness and Coastal Cabana flanked the strip of stary paper. Adding the solid colours to a shimmery white matting layer and Embossing, gave texture to the entire card.

A wash of Coastal Cabana gave a great backdrop for the Gold Foil New Year sentiment and stars. I stapled scraps of ribbon, having coloured a plain white ribbon with Light Bermuda Bay Blends, before adding a Bow of Navy Twine.

A simple little card layout that’s a little different for me but offers bright punchy colours. I enjoy pulling together die shapes, words and scraps to create a project.

It’s been a tough year for us all throughout this Pandemic and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support of me and my little business. From the many wonderful messages I’ve received, I can honestly say, that we have helped keep each other going. I look forward to the New Year and to one day being back hosting ‘in-person’ classes again. This celebration is for all of us … for we’ve made it this far in these strange times.
