You Can Create it this month with the Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper and a little inspiration.

What do you create with Designer Series paper that’s meant for Halloween, when it’s November? Well, this month we are creating with the Magic in this Night paper to inspire you to get creative with your kit.

I decided to get creative with Punches and pulled in the Tailored Tag Punch to create this first card. I firstly cut the paper down and punched two and a half of each pattern. Using the Black and White pattern, allowed me to create a mainly monochrome card. I love the pattern formation here and using the Black Glimmer paper added some gentle sparkle. The black card base came from the incidental pack.

I turned to the Detailed Bands Dies for this intricate label layer that I added using the Pretty Peacock cardstock. The sentiment came from the Band Together Stamp Set that was heat embossed Silver.

Snowman Frill Card

My second card had me using the Snowman Building Punch. With the remaining patterned paper cut into two strips of 1 1/4″ strips, I used the Snowman Punch to punch out ovals to add to my card base. I punched from both patterns of paper to gain variety.

Starting at the bottom, I layered these up, off setting as I went up the card. Once I’d used them all up, I added a band of Blackberry Bliss card.

A dramatic black detailed label was added giving incredible impact with another sentiment from the Band Together stamp set. A scattering of sequins on both cards gave that final finishing touch.

Two quite different cards making use of the same Stamp set and die but two different punches. The papers were used in a way to more add pattern and texture than to be the stand-alone focal point.
