You Can Create it with a Tasteful Poinsettia and Envelopes

You Can Create it this month with some In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and a Poinsettia.

It’s time to create with limited supplies again and I love the challenge that the You Can Create It kit brings. This month we had a piece of Cardstock and two pieces of patterned paper from the In Good Taste suite. I still had many supplies left over from my incidental pack, like cardstock and envelopes.

For me, I decided to use the patterned paper, with a sheet of cardstock and the envelopes to create my project. I’d been playing with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle this week, which I carried over into this project.

Adhering four envelopes together to create a concertina wallet, allowed me the chance to make a mini planner for Christmas. Somewhere that I could keep ideas for gifts, meal planning, shopping lists and such like for the busy festive period.

Opening like a wallet, I embellished the opening flap with mini die cut poinsettias of the same colour cardstock. This gives a faux embossed look and gave enough detail to not clash with the main focal Poinsettia.

I gave a wash of Ink colour over the Shimmery White Cardstock piece using both Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce. I then stamped and die cut to create the Poinsettia. The gradient in colour that this effect gives, was what I wanted and the gentle shimmer, just elegant.

The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper panel helped to complete the front with a Beaded Pearl embellishment and ribbon pull topping it off. Opening by the ribbon reveals the four concertina compartments each with their own notecard.

All of these supplies came from the Monthly kit and/or Quarterly incidental pack with the exception of Ribbon and Pearl embellishment. It always amazes me what can be created from so little.

The full A4 sheet made the wallet base, with the extra cut off, to embellish the flap. No wastage this month.
