Last week’s Facebook Live had me being creative with the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper. With plenty of leftovers from a recent event I held, I decided to create a Snow Globe and Bauble Card Live. I had so much fun.
This first card was using up scraps I had leftover. I wanted to show how you could layer up your card to disguise areas where you’d cut pieces out. This enabled me to create a whole new card suitable to give to your neighbours this Christmas.
My second card used a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder. A simple sponged night sky backdrop allowed the cheerful bauble to sing. Each of the little houses were fussy cut from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper, which fitted perfectly within a basic shape circle die.
Bauble Top Tip
To complete the top of the bauble, I used Gold Foil cardstock with the Banner Pick a Punch. Once I had my scallop ended strip, I then used a scalloped circle die to add the detail to the bottom of the Bauble topper. Tiny detail but it really helped finish the bauble.
Very subtle and not easily seen here, I flicked Wink of Stella all over the Night of Navy background cardstock before adhering to a Poppy Parade card base. I rather liked the red trim around the edge.
My final card was a shaker card using the Snow Globe Domes and the Stamp Set Zoo Globe. Oh, how I had fun with this card. Stamping and heat embossing clear on silver foil cardstock gave an etched feel to the base of the snow globe. A series of houses and trees were adhered within the globe, before some snowflake sequins added. Again the sentiment was taken from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set and the globe trimmed with Real Red Thread.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating these cards live with those who had joined me. My Facebook Lives are held every Thursday at 8.30pm BST and I have a different theme or stamp set each week.
If you missed my Facebook Live last week, you can catch me on replay or follow me through my Youtube Channel.
Hoping you’ll join me for my next Live.
