The All Star Tutorial Design Team are playing with the Flowers for Every Season Suite. I chose to Celebrate with Sunflowers for my creation. An Autumnal card where I team up with a large Buffalo check.
Welcome to this month’s blog hop from the All Start Tutorial Design Team. We have an abundance of inspiration for you this month to give you a taster of what our Tutorial Bundle might offer for you.
I wanted a bold background so swung towards using the Buffalo Check Stamp. I felt that Cajun Craze worked so well with the pretty patterned paper I used for the base of the Sunflower. These colours reminded me of a dress from my childhood.
The Early Espresso card base teamed with the centre of the flower and the sentiment. It only seemed right to therefore add a coordinating woodgrain piece of paper. It’s that delicate floral paper behind the flower that I love the most. It comes from the Flowers for Every Season Paper stack, it’s gorgeous.
It didn’t need much embellishment and certainly didn’t warrant rhinestones or shimmer. Some Wood Elements and a Linen Thread Bow and the card was complete.
Just so that the inside coordinated with the outside, I added a strip of buffalo check to the opening edge. I really like this Buffalo check. Why I’ve not used it much before is beyond me.
