It’s Texture Time with The Stampin’ Sunday Team who are sharing their inspiration using Embossing Folders.
A very warm welcome, I appreciate you stopping by to see my creativity today. We are bringing texture to our projects today and I’ve gone all out Snowflakes.
The Winter Snow Embossing Folder is by far my new favourite for the festive season right now. It offers such pretty texture and detail without being overly fussy. Embossed into two colours to create this first card, I simply layered it up and added a very simple sentiment panel. This sentiment comes from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set.
Don’t have a Cut & Emboss Machine?
If you were just starting out and you didn’t own a Cut & Emboss Machine, you could simply use a Rolling Pin. You don’t have to exclude these fabulously textured folders any more, you too can add texture.
Adding Detail
This next card, I took it back to just one colour and added some die cut Snowflakes to add interest. The Metallic Mesh Ribbon added texture without being overly fussy. The silver shimmer adds detail to this otherwise plain and simple card front and an element of atmosphere. A stamped sentiment in Pretty Peacock became the focal point.
You can see that Metallic Mesh Ribbon a little more in this next photo. It adds that element of crackled ice.
Stepping things up
Ironically it was this last card that I made first. I embossed a sheet of cardstock having applied Pool party Ink to one side of the Embossing Folder. Running this through the Cut & Emboss Machine, transferred the ink onto the white cardstock. Transferring the ink, this left the snowflakes white and the background Pool Party.
The simple Rectangular frame, quite literally framed these snowflakes that looked so peaceful. The greeting, therefore, had to reflect this, so I pulled this Die Cut Peace from the Peace & Joy Bundle. I’m looking forward to having a play and coming up with some other colourways with this embossing folder.
I hope you like what I’ve had to share with you today and that you’ll have a play with your embossing folders.
