We’re going Around the World on Wednesday to bring you creative inspiration and for me a Card and Tag combo.
A warm welcome to all who’ve hopped over from my lovely friend Aurélie from France and to those starting here. We’ve got a fabulous array of inspiration on offer for you today, as we tag two sets together.
The Tag Buffet Stamp set is a set that was designed to accompany our Project Kit on page 5 of the Mini Catalogue. It offers many sentiments along with some lovely basic images.
Drawn to the colour combination of Pool Party with Blackberry Bliss and Rococo Rose, I set to work.
A simple backdrop to the focal layer helps to draw your eye to what’s important. Still wanting some detail and interest in the background I used the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. The embossed Snowflakes were just enough detail without causing fussiness.
Two layered Scalloped rectangles, one cut from Whisper White and the other Vellum, highlighted the centre.
The images were stamped using Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White cardstock and coloured using our Alcohol Blends Pens. Two shades of each colour help give the definition as you blend.
Immediately upon seeing this set, I saw the stocking as a J and the bauble as an O so somehow needed to create my Y. My trusted sharp paper snips were used to fussy cut each image out before using Dimensional Foam pads to adhere to the card base. The card could have been left at this point but I wanted to add a continuing sentiment that I took from the Peace & Joy set. A splattering of Snowflake Adhesive-backed Embellishments and a Gold Thread bow and the card was complete.
Matching tags were easy to create by using the ‘Joy Dies’ to finish off the word ‘Joy’. This helped to simplify the images.
I really liked how these turned out, the colour combo and the fun layout. This may have you look at your images in a different light.
I do hope you’ll now join me in hopping over to the wonderful Angie McKenzie who invited me into this hop, so see what she has created.
Enjoy your day and do stay safe.
