The Stampin’ Sunday Team are sharing their inspiration using the stunning Peony Garden Suite with you. I decided to create three cards, stepping up with each new card.
A very warm welcome to you for stopping by to see my inspiration.
Setting up the Stamparatus, I stamped the Prized Peony image with Memento Black Ink on the White Card base. Lining up the Gray Granite matting layer, I then stamped the same image in the same place, so that the image looks complete with the matting layer in place. A very simple skinny cut sentiment and the first card was complete.
Starting off this second card in exactly the same way, I proceeded to colour in the Peony on the Gray Granite with Watercolour Pencils. Putting down a white layer first, allows the colours to appear more vibrant. The Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder gives exactly the right amount of texture to this second card. An additional matting layer of Gold Foil adds an element of richness.
The Peony Garden Suite is certainly known for its amazing Die-cut Peony shown in this final card. I stepped up the matting layer by adding a panel of Designer Series paper as a back drop to the Peony.
This Peony had Rich Razzleberry sponging to a Melon Mambo base The sentiment was heat embossed white onto a skinny panel of Melon Mambo to tie in.
Three cards on the theme of the Peony Garden Suite but each stepped up a little more than the last.
I hope you have liked my share with you today and that you feel inspired to either keep things simple or step them up a little.
Thanks for hopping by and do enjoy the rest of your weekend and indeed the rest of the hop. Happy Crafting.
