This month’s Blog Hop
This month we are focusing on the gorgeous Peony Garden Suite which I’m falling in love with the more I use it. I adore the Peony flower and in particular this bright vibrant colour. Full bloom heads of striking colour had me thinking of a Wedding or Bridesmaids bouquet. Perhaps a card for a dear friend getting married?
These flower heads start with a Flirty Flamingo base colour that I’ve sponged over and splashed water at to give that mottled look. Making the bouquet appear full by layering up with dimension was important to give the illusion of a bigger bouquet.
The stems are the flower stems from the Flower for Every Season Stamp Set that I’ve then wrapped ribbon around.
Our largest Pearls were perfect for simulating a pin to hold this hand-tied bouquet together. This marbled DSP was the perfect neutral background for this and gently trimmed with silver foil, it gave a little sparkle of detail.
Such a gorgeous set that can be used for stamping or die-cutting the most stunning of Peony flowers. Now what colour Peony would you choose? Are you into pastel tones or bright vibrant as I’ve shown here? There are so many that I’m sure you’ll go on making bouquet after bouquet with your set.
If you’d like more inspiration with this suite and 12 fabulous video’s to talk you through these ideas, then you’ll not want to miss this month’s Tutorial Bundle.
